For Who
All Certified IT project managers, CITPM(Associate), CITPM and CITPM(Senior), under the Certified IT Project Manager Programme are required to maintain their title every 5 years. CITPM may maintain their title or be upgraded to either CITPM or CITPM(Senior) subject to satisfying the requirements of the Board of Assessors. Those who do not apply for re-certification will lose their status of a Certified IT Project Manager.
Re-certification And Upgrading of Professional Status
For re-certification, a CITPM needs to accumulate at least 100 CPC credits every 5 years and ensure that his/her SCS membership remains current.

Online Professional Log
Each certified professional is issued an electronic professional log for the purpose of tracking the re-certification progress. It becomes a validated record of the individual's training and professional development activities, including projects and career developments. It is an extremely valuable record that should be filed electronically to the SCS Certification Secretariat regularly (at least every year). At the end of the five-year period, it will be forwarded together with the re-certification fees and considered for re-certification by the Board of Assessors.
The Professional Log is the property and responsibility of the CITPM to ensure that all CPC activities are filed within it. On every fifth year of the re-certification cycle, the CITPM is required to submit the Professional Log together with the appropriate fees for full assessment by the Board of Assessors.
