Re-certification and Upgrading of Professional Status
Certified professionals need to be re-certified every five years and keep their SCS membership current in
order to maintain their status. They can seek re-certification to:
a. Be upgraded to COMIT (Senior) / COMIT
b. Renew as COMIT (Associate) / COMIT / COMIT (Senior)
Re-certification application will coincide with the certification enrolment in November. Those who do not apply
for re-certification will lose their status as a certified professional upon expiry of certificate.

Each certified professional will be issued an online professional log, a validated record of the individual’s
continuing education, training, professional development activities including projects and career developments.
It is a compulsory document to submit for re-certification every five years.
