Mr Leslie Loh

Leslie Loh formerly served as the Executive Chairman and CEO of Sungard System Access Limited. Mr Loh is an Entrepreneur. Leslie’s challenges in his youth ignited his passion to strive for success. He was undeterred by his humble beginnings and his name is synonymous with System Access, a company he started with a RM$5,000 borrowed from his grandmother. Under his leadership, System Access has been recognized as amongst the most enterprising private companies in Singapore as 4 times winner of the prestigious Enterprise 50 awards.

For his outstanding achievements as a home-grown entrepreneur, Leslie was selected the winner of the 1998 Rotary-ASME Entrepreneur of the year in Singapore. The SYA is the highest youth accolade in Singapore and is conferred to national honour upon youths in Singapore who have significantly achieved excellence and contributed to the society.

Mr Loh is an Innovator. A motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial instincts, he combined his business acumen with his passion for technology and innovation to develop a winning banking software product. Leslie believes that continuous product innovation would be fundamental to the success of his business. His intense pursuit of innovation and relentless focus on research and product development has led to the development of his flagship’s product, SYMBOLS. In 1998, National Computer Board of Singapore (today’s IDA) awarded SYMBOLS the National IT Award for Innovative Product. The product also received ‘Special Mention’ Award, at the Asia Pacific ICT Award 2003. Globally, SYMBOLS is ranked amongst the top 10 banking software product worldwide by the International Banking Journal UK for several years.

Despite his hectic jet-setting lifestyle, he still finds time to contribute to entrepreneurial and ICT development in Singapore.

Mr Loh was an IDA Board Member (Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore) for 2 terms from 1999 to 2003 and is currently involved as Member of The Infocomm Competency Council (ICC) and Enterprise Development Sub-committee.
