Mr Leslie Loh

Stephen Lim is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of SQL View Pte Ltd. A veteran in ICT industry for over 25 years, Stephen started his career with Hewlett-Packard (sales) Singapore as a Systems Engineer. In 1987, he left Hewlett-Packard to pursue his passion as an entrepreneur. Later on, Stephen founded SQL View in 1992 and today SQL View is recognised as the pioneer and leading provider of Knowledge and Record Management Solutions.

Charismatic and energetic, Stephen provides vision and leadership that keeps his companies at the forefront of innovation. His knack of recognising market trends keeps him a step ahead of his competitors. He possesses the ability to combine technical know-how with business acumen.

Stephen co-chaired the “Infocomm Singapore Brand Management committee”, a SiTF and Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) initiative. And for his entrepreneurial achievements, Stephen was conferred the Singapore Youth Award in 1993. The following year, he was awarded as NSman of the year, given only to the top 10 Arm Forces reserve personal recognising their supreme performance as reservist. In addition, Stephen earned the title, best system engineer in the Far East region while with Hewlett-Packard in 1985.

Stephen’s name is synonymous with championing local ICT enterprises. A main founder of Singapore Enterprise Chapter (SEC) in Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), Stephen served as chairman from 2001 until 2003. SEC provides a platform to champion local ICT enterprises and to promote “made by Singapore” ICT products and services.

In all these years, Stephen has been instrumental in establishing the Singapore Solution Centre in Shanghai and Hangzhou, to further promote Singapore ICT companies in China. In four consecutive years, Stephens served as SiTF Vice Chairman from 2002 to 2004 and Chairman from 2004 to 2006.

Stephen co-chairs the “Infocomm Singapore Brand Management committee”, a SiTF and Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) initiative. He also served as member of the iN2015 steering committee and chaired the Enterprise Development sub-committee.

Holding a Master in Management Science form Imperial College, London University and a Bsc in Electronic Engineering from Birmingham University, UK, Stephen continues his long list of badge marking his incomparable enthusiasm for the ICT industry.

He has served as a Board Member of IDA and Singapore Science Centre, as well as Vice-Chairman of the Technology Committee of Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He has also served as a member of several other committees and organisations, including the Finance and Information Technology for Sentosa Development Corporation, National Internet Advisory Committee, Temasek Polytechnic Information Technology School Advisory Committee, Republic Polytechnic ICT school Advisory Committee, SIM advisory panel, Board of Finance of CAC Methodist Church of Singapore, and the e-Government Advisory Panel formed by Ministry of Finance.
