Rakesh is the founder, managing director and chief executive officer of Heulab Pte Ltd.

Rakesh graduated with a Masters in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore. He founded Heulab in 2002, together with his classmate Lim Soon Jinn from his alma mata – Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s School of InfoComm Technology.

Rakesh spearheaded Heulab from incubation stage at its beginning to become a high-potential leading educational software solutions company serving the global market. Heulab focuses on the research and development of innovative educational software solutions to schools and education institutes with the aim of re-defining and enhancing the students’ learning experience and effectiveness. Rakesh provided the vision for Heulab, innovated and set the technology roadmap and direction that led it to its profitable position today with its own made-in-Singapore product called HeuCampus.

Rakesh has also demonstrated exemplary leadership in leading Heulab from a 2-persons’ start-up to its current strength of more than 45 staff across offices in Singapore, Australia and the United States. His vision, innovation and technical leadership have created made-in-Singapore and ready-to-market educational products that have placed Heulab in the competitive league of international players. Its software is used by more than 400 learning institutions and 50,000 users worldwide.

Rakesh is truly an inspirational IT young professional who takes and leads his entire ship of IT professionals to innovate and develop a product of their own and bringing it to the international scene.
