Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, the former Deputy Prime Minister and Co-ordinating Minister for Security and Defence, is now the Patron of SCS. 

A prominent leader of respectable standing, Dr Tan's induction as SCS Patron marks an important milestone for the Society as it signifies SCS' stronger presence and leadership in important ICT issues. 

Dr Tan's role as SCS Patron will be to lend support and guidance at a very strategic level. His political background in Trade and industry as well as in Education, Health, Defence and Finance, his broad business knowledge and wide-ranging interests and experience, will be instrumental in helping SCS stay relevant and reach out to wider constituency of the infocomm professionals.
