Business IT Architecture Fundamentals (BITAF), an IASA foundation-level course, is one of our most popular, heavily-subscribed courses. The materials covered are based on IASA's IT Architecture Body of Knowledge (ITABoK). The ITABok is a public archive of IT Architecture best practices, skills and knowledge developed from the experience of individual and corporate members of IASA, the world's largest association of IT Architecture professionals.

This fundamental course is conducted over (3) three days with intensive hands-on workshops which will provide insight into the various aspects of the IT architecture landscape, processes, operations and challenges and why integrating IT to the business critical. This fundamental course in architecting software includes workshops with real-life business scenarios using a single case study, which will expose participants to practical concepts and approaches in architecting software at each stage of the software development life cycle. It also focuses on the adoption of modelling techniques in architecting software based on UML diagrams. Comprising of 75% practical hands-on sessions and 25% class presentations, this intensive course will equip participants with a clearer understanding of software development fundamentals and solution architecture via appropriate adoption and application of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques.

This IASA IT Architecture Core course will equip participants with the foundational knowledge of being an IT Architect and provide exposure on the right skills and tools required as EA/IT Architects. Understanding of the 'Five Foundational Pillars' will sharpen the holistic view of thinking outside the box in decision-making process as well as in solving business and technical issues. In addition, it will provide an appreciation and understanding of the value of IT initiatives in relation to the business capabilities and the significant success values of what an Architect can bring to the organisation. The course structure consists of highly practical real life scenarios that are illustrated into 17 highly intensive workshops.

The Architect Core course is the foundation skillsets level course based on IASA ITABoK? (IT Architecture Body of Knowledge).
