Certification in IT Project Management

Our Overseas Partners

Being the very first IT Project Management Certification to be offered in Singapore and possibly in the world, CITPM has fast become an accepted and credible certification among the IT professionals at a national, regional and international level.

SCS has signed Memorandum of Understanding or Agreement with the following countries/organisations:

  • Central Academy of IT (Japan)
  • Department of Electronics, Accreditation Computer Courses (DOEACC)
  • Myanmar Computer Professionals Association (MCPA)

  • SCS signed a MOA with Myanmar Computer Professionals Association (MCPA) to introduce Certification in IT Project Management (CITPM) on 31 August 2015. As SCS' certification partner, MCPA aspires to train and certify infocomm professionals in CITPM over the next three years. Together with SCS, MCPA seeks to level up the IT project management competencies of the project management professionals in Myanmar to the next level the widely recognised and highly coveted CITPM programme.

Recognition in Overseas Countries

Japan IT Engineers Examination Center (JITEC) of Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA)

On 24 August 2001, the SCS together with NICC had signed an MOU with Japan IT Engineers Examination Centre (JITEC) of Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) on mutual recognition of certification between Japan and Singapore.

The purpose of the MOU is to promote the mobility of IT professionals between Japan and Singapore as well as the mutual recognition of our CITPM and the Japan IT Engineers' Skill Standards of Project Manager.

Department of Electronics, Accreditation Computer Courses (DOEACC)

An MOU was signed between the Department of Electronics, Accreditation Computer Courses (DOEACC) , an autonomous body of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India and the Singapore Computer Society (SCS)/National Infocomm Competency Centre (NICC) to co-operate in the certification of infocomm professionals in both Indiaand Singapore.

This MOU cross recognises Singapore's Certified Infocomm Technology Project Management (CITPM) certification with DOEACC's Syllabus "B" and Syllabus "C" courses, which is equivalent to a Bachelor and Masters course respectively. To take the MOU a step further, SCS is working with DOEACC on the operational details which will enable DOEACC to administer the CITPM course and examination.

Persatuan Komputer Brunei Darussalam (Brunei)

Singapore Computer Society and Persatuan Komputer Brunei Darussalam (PKBD) have entered into a co-operative agreement on 9 November 2001, to allow IT Professionals in Brunei to participate in the CITPM Certification Programme. The MOU signing ceremony was held in Brunei and was well attended by many high-level officials and IT Professionals of Brunei. The occasion was also graced by the Deputy Finance Minister of Brunei.

Singapore & Philippines collaborate to promote infocomm developments between both countries

On 25 August 2001, the Singapore Computer Society's Certified IT Project Management Certification Programme (CITPM) had created another significant milestone when the Memorandum of Intent on collaboration with the Information Technology Foundation of the Philippines (ITFP) to introduce CITPM to the Philippines, was signed in the presence and witnessed by Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, President of the Philippines and former IDA Chairman, Mr. Lam Chuan Leong at the Signing Ceremony.

The signing of the MOI was held in conjunction with President Arroyo's official visit to Singapore and to the IDA to promote co-operation in the field of infocomm technology developments and certification of IT professionals between Philippines and Singapore.
