Eddie Chau, the Co-Founder & Chairman of V-Key Inc, is also an investor and a much sought-after mentor and advisor by startups. With over three decades of experience as a leader and pioneer in the region's information technology and technopreneurship scene, Eddie currently holds several key positions from non-profit organisations, industry bodies, institutes of higher learning to government agencies.

Eddie has great passion for turning raw IPs and ideas into business opportunities. With his hands-on experience in founding startups to engineering successful exits, he has helped various companies at different growth phases. Eddie has made notable contributions to the info-communications and digital media industry as the founder of five companies- e-Cop, Brandtology, V-Key, Neeuro and Spini, and co-founder of TNF Ventures. Eddie's journey as an avid entrepreneur began in 2000 when he founded e-Cop. Eddie played a vital role in e-Cop as he led the company's strategic direction, product development, and global expansion, positioning the company as a market leader in the info-security industry for over 20 countries. He exited e-Cop in 2007 when it was acquired by a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings, Certis Cisco. In 2008, Eddie founded Brandtology, a company that delivers online intelligence services and timely insights for marketing, public relations, consumer insights, media planning, customer service, CRM, among other functions. His strong leadership abilities could be seen through Brandtology's rapid overseas expansion within the next year.

Following his key objective of making all mobile applications more secure, Eddie co-founded V-Key in 2011 to deliver the most advanced mobile application security solution in the world with its patented virtual secure element. Under Eddie's leadership, V-Key is securing millions of mobile applications and transactions around the world. V-Key is also backed by IPV Capital and Ant Financial. Eddie ventured into neurotechnology and gamification in 2013 and co-founded Neeuro. Today, Eddie also serves as the chairman of Spini which he co-founded in 2014. Spini is an online marketplace to crowdsource leads and monetise shared sales information and is venture-backed by Walden International. Additionally, Eddie is an active investor, with lead roles in TNF Ventures. He is the co-founding partner of TNF Ventures and serves as the Investor Mentor there.

Over the course of his career, Eddie has also served as a key member and advisor on several boards of non-profit organisations, contributing to the community with his expertise and experience. At Mount Alvernia Hospital, Eddie serves as a board member as well as Chairman of its Technology Strategy Committee and leads the drive for the multimillion-dollar HealthAngel eMR (Electronic Medical Record) project. Eddie serves on the board of raiSE (Singapore Center of Social Enterprise) and is a member of its Investment and Grant Committees. He is also a board member of One Faber Group- a subsidiary of Sentosa Development Corporation. Eddie has been an advisory member of NUS's School of Computing, and Nanyang Polytechnic's School of IT since 2006.

Eddie was a former committee member of IMC 2030 (International Maritime Center 2030) and IMM 2025 (Infocomm Media Masterplan 2025), as well as former EIR (Entrepreneur in Residence) of Imperial College in London, and EIR of Singapore Management University.
