Criteria for IT Leader Awards
The judging panel of the IT Leader Awards is made up of distinguished judges from the business, public sectors and academia. The panel will evaluate and decide on the award recipient(s) based on the judging criteria described below. The Panel's decision are final.

1. PERSONAL QUALITIES
Nominee must display consistent integrity and exemplary leadership.
Nominee must have led significant innovations or breakthroughs in the development and/or application of infocomm and digital media.
Nominee must be a leader with an established track record in the infocomm and digital media industry with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Within that period, the nominee should have demonstrated a minimum of 5 years of sustained superior performance (as indicated by awards, recognition, etc. by his employer, external organisations, etc.).
4. CONTRIBUTION TO SINGAPORE'S INFOCOMM & MEDIA DEVELOPMENT
Nominee must have made outstanding contributions to the infocomm and digital media industry and personal contributions to infocomm and digital media development in Singapore beyond the realm of his/her immediate professional interests.
Note: The person is seen to be in a leadership role, characterised by his professionalism, business acumen and entrepreneurship (if any), mentorship, community relations.
Eligibility: Individual who establishes a successful,prominent and sustainable infocomm and digital media business enterprise in Singapore
1. PERSONAL QUALITIES
Nominee must display consistent integrity and should not have engaged in unethical practices (ie violate laws). He/she is well-respected in the community and industry.
2. ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT
Nominee sets very high standards for self and business and demonstrates strong leadership skills and perseverance. Shows capacity as an independent thinker who takes calculated risks in the face of uncertainty.
Demonstrates entrepreneurial maturity by building strategic alliances and surrounding him/herself with talented people-sharing knowledge and empowering individuals,teams, the Board and a range of advisers/allies, to ensure success for all.
3. FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
This is reflected in the strength of the organisation's financial performance and/or industry valuation. If applicable; the track record in raising finance and attracting investors, company performance over the past 5 years; and the strategies in place for long term sustainability.
4. STRATEGIC DIRECTION
Creates and turns business visions into business realities. Builds and rebuilds the teams' commitment to the common goals. Demonstrates the ability to produce new products/services, innovate product use and differentiate themselves from their competitors.
Nominee pioneers a new approach, business model, product or services and creates a culture of innovation within the organisation.
Nominee must have shown outstanding performance as owner/operator of substantial infocomm and digital media business enterprise in Singapore with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Within that period, the nominee should have demonstrated a minimum of 3 years of sustained superior performance (as indicated by awards, recognition, etc. by his employer, external organisations, etc.).
Excellence in profession in the infocomm and digital media industry
An award to recognise outstanding achievement by an infocomm and digital media Professional. The professional can be engaged in :
- Research & Innovation
- Education & Training
- Implementation & Management
- Administration & Support
- Workforce Development
Examples: Researcher, Software Developer, Mentor, Educator, Inventor, Trainer, System Administrator, Network Administrator, Security, Game Developer, Animator, Supervisor, HR Director
1. PERSONAL QUALITIES
Nominee must display consistent integrity and subscribe to the ethical standards of the infocomm and digital media profession
Nominee must demonstrate high standards of the profession and being a role model. Promotes and champions their profession to a wider audience
Nominee must have shown positive and tangible impact to the infocomm and digital media industry with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Within that period, the nominee should have demonstrated a minimum of 3 years of sustained superior performance (as indicated by awards, recognition, etc. by his/her employer, external organisation etc. )
4. OTHER INDUSTRY INVOLVEMENT
Professional designations, awards and other areas of recognition.
Eligibility: Nominated by the Selection Committee
Individuals whose outstanding contributions over an extended period have helped to shape the development of infocomm and digital media in Singapore. Potential inductees for the Hall of Fame shall be nominated by the Selection Committee.
Eligibility: Nominee should be aged 25 years and below on or before 1 Jan 2017.
- PERSONAL QUALITIES
Nominee must display consistent integrity, exemplary leadership and instill a passion for infocomm and digital media amongst his/her peers.
Nominee must have demonstrated continued commitment to infocomm and digital media or sustained support of infocomm and digital media activities. Nominee must have also made outstanding personal contribution to infocomm and digital media in school, an institute of higher learning and/or a community in Singapore.
Nominee must have developed new infocomm and digital media-based learning resources, services or applications and/or added value through new features to existing infocomm and digital media-based resources, services or applications. It is a merit if the nominee has won local and/or international infocomm and digital media -related award(s).
It is a merit if the innovation has a potential commercial value and the nominee has taken further actions to develop the innovation into a business venture.
